New to Bald Sports? Start with the basics. Bald Sports combines familiar sports games with a moving prize pool. In most sports pools, everyone enters, the prize pool sits still, and winners wait until the end. Bald Sports makes the prize pool part of the game. You make picks, your entry votes on where the shared pool moves next, and winners claim at the end.

What You Need

Before entering, you need:
  • a wallet connected through the app
  • USDC on Base
  • acceptance of the current terms and risk acknowledgement
Bald Sports sponsors gas for normal in-app actions. Availability can still depend on age, location, wallet screening, terms acceptance, and other eligibility checks.

How A Game Works

  1. Choose a game. Start with World Cup Survivor or World Cup Bracket.
  2. Enter with USDC. Your entry gives you pick rights, vote rights, and any claim rights if your entry wins. If your entry is represented by an NFT, it is soulbound. That means it is non-transferable and stays with the wallet that entered.
  3. Make your picks. Survivor uses round-by-round picks. Bracket uses a full knockout bracket before the first lock.
  4. Vote on the prize pool. Between rounds, entries vote on the next move for the shared pool.
  5. Follow official results. Picks resolve by team advanced, not final score.
  6. Claim if eligible. When the game ends and payouts are finalized, eligible entries can claim.

What Happens Onchain

Bald Sports uses Base and USDC for the parts of the game that need a public record.
  • entry purchases happen onchain
  • picks and votes are signed in the app before lock
  • eligible signed picks and votes are published after lock
  • prize-pool moves happen from the onchain treasury
  • spot swaps use Odos and Aerodrome
  • finalized winners claim from the prize pool
  • entry NFTs, when used, are soulbound and non-transferable
The app is designed to make this feel simple, but the important money movements are verifiable.

Locks Matter

Each action has a deadline. Pick locks control when picks stop being accepted. Vote locks control when prize-pool votes stop being accepted.
Vote locks can happen before pick locks. Always check the deadline shown in the app.

Pick Your Format

Choose Survivor if you like elimination pressure. Choose Bracket if you like filling the full knockout path and scoring points through the tournament.
